Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscript Submission
for the Journal
We are a peer reviewed journal that is published semi-annually. The following guidelines apply to which articles must:
- Reflect a high view of Scripture
- Reflect deep involvement in one or more Asian contexts throughout the article.
- Be written in English at the post graduate level and must be between 4,000-5,000 words.
- Must not have been previously published elsewhere.
- We would prefer articles to be formatted following Turabian’s 8th edition. However, other systems are welcome as long as they are consistently followed.
- Articles using the original biblical languages must have those words in the original font, not transliterated.
The theme for 2019 is rather broad, “Theological Issues in Asia”.

- Reflect deep involvement in one or more Asian contexts throughout the manuscript.
- Be written in English at the post graduate level.
- Must not have been previously published elsewhere.
- We would prefer manuscripts to be formatted following Turabian’s 8th edition. However, other systems are welcome as long as they are consistently followed.

PROCESS OF SUBMISSION
- All submissions must be sent to the director, Dr. Dave Johnson, at dave.johnson@agmd.org.
- The submission must include an abstract of the thesis or dissertation, a copy of the appropriate approval sheet, and a cover letter demonstrating why you desire to publish with us and how you think this would benefit our reading audience of pastors, professors and church leaders in Asia.
- If the manuscript is of interest to us, you will be invited to submit the entire manuscript electronically for further review with the understanding that submission for review does not guarantee publication.
- With the exception of our faculty, manuscripts are normally reviewed in the order in which they are received. Due to our workload and the number of manuscripts waiting to be reviewed, the review process will likely take up to one year.
- If the manuscript is accepted an author’s contract will be sent to the potential author. No manuscript is accepted until the contract is signed and any rewrites required by us are completed by the author.
